Ever heard of the band BTS? No? You must be over 21, because apparently everyone under that age has. I am told they are the most popular band, IN THE WORLD, by my 15 year-old daughter and we are going to see them in concert this week. She is beyond excited, and requested her Stitch Fix stylist create a look for her to wear.
BTS is a K-Pop band that Piper has been obsessed with for quite a while now. When their North American tour tickets when on sale she sat at the computer furiously pressing refresh trying to get tickets. When the Chicago tickets sold out, she switched her focus to Hamilton, Ontario and scored two tickets. She has been working off the cost all summer.
With the concert date rapidly approaching she requested a special BTS Fix for the occasion. Let’s take a look at what she got. Here is look #1.
These soft stretchy jeans are the staple of this Fix. They are a dark finish with a frayed hem. A great basic, that fit well and are actually pretty reasonably priced.
The cold-shoulder shirt is perfect for a concert. It is loose fitting, slightly low-cut, with 3/4 sleeves that expose the shoulders. The fabric is soft, stretchy and lightweight. Really Nice.
Finally, this flannel cardigan is just cool. It is duster length, has a frayed edge and a cute, lace-up detail on the back.
The box also included this blue chambray shirt. It fit well, but didn’t really bring much to the party in terms of excitement.
Finally, the best (and most expensive) piece was this plum-colored denim moto jacket by Liverpool. Oh my goodness, is it gorgeous. This jacket is definitely the superstar of the box.
So which outfit is she going to wear? Well, she is determined to wear her BTS Love Yourself T-shirt, so it looks like the jeans and the denim jacket are the winner, although that flannel duster is pretty sweet.
Since she only has a $100 budget, we negotiated a deal for shared custody of the denim jacket. I paid half of the jacket cost, she had a credit on her account which allowed her to purchase the jeans and the flannel. The two shirts went back.
I also requested a BTS Fix and my new stylist, Stephanie, knocked it out of the park. I will post on that later, but let’s just say if Stephanie lived close to me we would be best friends and I would be broke. Stylish AF, but also broke.
